An elegant cosy “petite” suite, located on the Ground Floor and opening on the central patio which is the heart of the palace. Walls are entirely covered with ancient earthenware tiles from the marble floor up to the wooden painted ceiling. It has a bathroom, partly vaulted with scale-shaped ceramic tiles on the soil and walls. The bed is installed in the central alcove, following traditional Tunisian manner. A miniature sitting corner is also provided.
The name of Banu-Khorasan is a tribute to the first Princely dynasty of Tunis (1059-1158), whose Government was established on the site of the Dar-Hussein Palace (now the National Heritage Institute), neighbouring Palais Bayram. (Tunisian more favorite pronunciation is “Bou-Khrisan”)
