A lovely suite with two single beds, both “Gondola” styled, typical of King Louis-Philippe’s taste. It is located in the noble part of the first floor, on the gallery overlooking the central patio, close to the three “grandes suites historiques” to which it provides an easy opportunity of extension. It has an art’déco styled bathroom which makes you feel on board an old-fashioned “liner”. The sitting-room is slightly lower than the romantic painted ceiling alcove. The furniture is French one with a few carpets from Asia.
An exceptional personality of our antique Mediterranean history, Emperor Hadrian created -among others- the “Aqueduct of Zaghouan” (-122), which provided sweet water supply to Carthage first, then to Tunis and its whole region, during several centuries (magnificent remains easy to visit).
